Bad Girls

No, not the 70's disco hit by Donna Summer, instead I'm referring to 3 cases I handled this week, all involving female clients.

First, I represented a young lady who had her license suspended for 90 days following a DWI incident.  I represented her when she got pulled over and charged with driving before her 90-day suspension was finished.  The State requested the judge give her jail time, but I was able to persuade the judge to suspend her sentence, and place her on probation.

Next, I represented a young lady who was arrested in her boyfriend's house, after the police discovered several pounds of marijuana in the residence.  Given that the marijauana was found in a dresser drawer (with no personal papers of my client located inside) and also in the basement (where the State could not place my client) I was able to get her case dismissed, in return for participation in a 1-day marijuana diversion program.

Last, but not least, I represented a young lady charged with assaulting her former landlord.  Charges in this case were dismissed upon my client's completion of a 3-session anger management program.

Would love to write more, but I'm off to a meeting with a detective and a state's attorney regarding, that's right, you guessed it, a female client of mine who may or may not be facing charges stemming from her boyfriend's theft of a substantial sum of money from his former employer, part of which got deposited into my client's bank account.
