90 days county jail for 10 kilos of marijuana

Just returned from court today, where I was able to resolve a marijuana case, where my client was caught with 10 kilos of pot (over 20 pounds), for a sentence of 1 year, all suspended but for 90 days in the county detention center.  Additionally, I was able to get the client a work-release recommendation, and got the court to permit him not to begin the sentence today, but rather to turn himself in in 2 weeks.  There is also a possibility, if the client successfully completes the 12 month term of probation he will be on upon release, that the court will modify the sentence in the future, by means of striking the guilty finding in favor of probation before judgment, which, since a PBJ is not a conviction, would keep the client's record unblemished.
